6- Don’t Offer Alternatives
You must draw the boundary as a parent. If your child refuses to eat the supper you made because it contains veggies, you’re out of luck! No other type of food should be accessible. There were no sandwiches, chocolates, or anything else! The youngster will eventually give in and eat anything you put on the table.
When I have these circumstances at home, my son normally makes a big deal out of it, then ultimately sits down and eats. When I say he’ll be kicking and screaming for the better part of an hour, I don’t mean he’ll be kicking and screaming for the better part of an hour. If he just refuses to eat it, he will be served no meal at all! That has happened to me twice or three times in the last year.
